Apple Industries, a rapidly growing manufacturer of Face Place Photo Booths www.faceplacephoto.com is seeking a results-oriented dynamic problem solver who strives for perfection yet enjoys working pragmatically and hitting aggressive deadlines. We are looking for a meticulous first principles thinker who is not afraid to ask questions, constantly learn, and has a hungernto innovate. As a Software Engineer in Product Applications, you will working on the actual photo booth application, where your work lies at the intersection of interactive entertainment, photography, printing, creating reliable and secure autonomous systems, and interfacing with cloud infrastructure for telemetry, software updates, and content distribution. You will work daily with our growing team of software engineers, and will also collaborate with our product development, creative design, and technical support teams in your work to create the best product we possibly can. At the end of the day, everyone here shares the common goal of creating an extraordinary user experience and making people smile – and you will become a part of that mission.

What you’ll do in a snapshot

  • Design, code, test (comfortable with unit and integration tests), and debug both new and
    existing photo booth applications
  • Work with creative and product development teams to:

create highly interactive, fun, innovative, easy to use photo experiences

create a high quality, innovative print (or other near-instant deliverable) product

  • Work with fellow software engineers to:

package and deploy tested code updates to our various product lines

ensure reliability of application and peripherals associated with application (camera,
printer, light controller, payment devices, etc.)

gather essential data from the user experience and interface with cloud infrastructure
to report essential data

improve the client side of our content distribution and software update platforms

  • Work with customer support to analyze and provide timely solutions for software-related
    escalated support issues
  • Thorough documentation of work

What you need to be the right fit for our team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or relevant field
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in developing software
  • Core competency in C#, stateful application development
  • Comfortable with Git SCM, Visual Studio IDE, Agile methodologies, and REST-client protocols
  • Experience testing and packaging software for deployment Experience interfacing with hardware such as cameras and other USB peripherals
  • Clear and effective written and verbal English communications skills
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time; Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
